The meeting was organized by the grant coordinator, Botho University where participating institutions attended physically along with a few who attended virtually. The physical meeting was held at Botho University (Gaborone, Botswana) Boardroom and virtually through Zoom.

The event was attended by representatives of the institutional project management teams from the

Dr. Olesea SIRBU presented the general and specific objectives of the UPSCALE project and the expected results. The consortium adopted the calendar, discussed the organizational structure, the roles and responsibilities of the partners within the project, the operational plan, and the allocation of tasks between the partners.

The second day was dedicated to the project financial management, reporting rules and models, adoption of specific procedures and mechanisms. In addition, special attention was paid to dissemination and communication actions.
